When Odoo fits, and when it does not

Odoo is an open-source ERP covering sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting, payroll, point of sale and the website in one system. It fits when:

• Your operation is standard and you want every department to see the same data.
• You are tired of scattered spreadsheets where every employee has their own copy.
• You need ZATCA-compliant e-invoicing without building a system from scratch.
• You want to start with one area (say sales and inventory) and expand later. It does not fit when your core process has no equivalent in the standard modules; then a custom system is cheaper in the long run. We explained the difference in Odoo or a custom system.

How we implement

• Process study: we sit with each department and map how an order moves from start to invoice, and decide which modules you actually need.
• Setup and customisation: we configure the standard modules first, and only build a custom module when standard is not enough.
• Data migration: customers, products and opening balances move over from your old system or files, and you review them before sign-off.

It depends on the number of modules and the size of the old data. The timeline is fixed in the proposal after the process study.

I already run Odoo but it has problems. Can you help?
