Odoo implementation with ZATCA e-invoicing for Saudi companies | kerneltics
Odoo implementation for sales, inventory and accounting with e-invoicing connected to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA): certificate setup, tax and simplified invoices, and migration from your old system. For companies in Saudi Arabia.
One system where sales, inventory and accounting see the same numbers, and every invoice is ZATCA-compliant from day one without a second programme.
The problem we fix
- Sales in one programme, inventory in a spreadsheet, and the accountant pulls it all together by hand at month end.
- E-invoicing is mandatory and the old system does not support it.
- Nobody knows the real warehouse balance until the physical count.
- A previous Odoo rollout stalled and left the system half working.
What we do
- Process study before any setup: We sit with sales, the warehouse and accounting and map how an order moves from quotation to collection. The modules we enable come from that session, not from a checklist.
- Standard module setup: Sales, purchasing, inventory across one or more warehouses, accounting with a Saudi chart of accounts, and point of sale if you have shops.
- ZATCA e-invoicing integration: Digital certificate issuance, tax and simplified invoice configuration, the QR code, and sending for clearance or reporting depending on invoice type. Tested in the sandbox before production.
- Data migration: Customers, suppliers, products and opening balances from the old system or your files, reviewed by you before sign-off.
- Custom modules only when needed: When standard is not enough (say an auto-parts catalogue with alternative numbers), we build a clean custom module that survives upgrades. We did this on the Zaiti project for parts and oils.
How the project runs
- Study and scope: A session with each department, then a scope document with modules, integrations, a timeline per stage and a fixed price.
- Setup and migration: We set up a trial environment with your real data, and each department reviews its own part.
- Training and go-live: Each department is trained on its own work, then we go live in stages, usually sales and inventory first, then accounting.
- Support and upgrades: We stay on after launch for changes, and upgrade the version when it is worth it.
Frequently asked questions
We already run Odoo but e-invoicing is not connected. Can you do just that?
Yes. We review the current setup, issue the certificate and connect e-invoicing without re-implementing anything.
Community or Enterprise?
We explain the difference for your specific modules. Many small and medium companies are well served by Community with some customisation.
How long does implementation take?
It depends on the number of modules, the size of the old data and how ready your team is. The timeline is fixed in the scope document, and we do not quote one before that.
Hosting with you or with us?
Either: a server in your name that we manage, or your own. In both cases the data and the backups are yours.
